About Me
I was born in Portsmouth, in 1974, and grow up in and around southern Hampshire. I didn’t really excel at school leaving with only a GSCE in Art and Design. I wasn’t interested in Photography until I was 18 or 19 years old by which time I was severing with the British Army.
It wasn’t until 2004, when I decide to try out photography first hand for myself, and with an idea I had being toying with, I took the plunge into a whole world that I didn’t know that much about. At the Time I was a student studying computer science at the University of Hertfordshire and the whole thing was just an experiment.
I have done a number of different things during in my past, which has taken me to different places and work on different things, and I have found that this variety of background makes it possible to chat and break the ice with new people, or people I am going to shot and work with. People that I have worked with have also commented on how sharp my memory is. I would say that I am laid back and easy going, from a working class background, and have a bit of a crude sense of humor and despite being educated I have dyslexia which seem to be getting worst.
My Work and Inspiration
I am very selective to whom I work with. I make no apology for that. I am a professional, and look for who will sell, I am here to make a living. I have shoot the majority of glamour photography over the years, improving and learning as I go, I love the work at the John Parkinson Agency, it is my aim to become more commercial with the flexibility of Lee Strickland or Gavin bond, but it is still very early days for me at the moment.
